I left California to go to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Leaving paradise isn't easy, but I was in search of adventure, something new and something different. After graduation, I backpacked around the world, a trip that became formative in ways I didn't expect. It led me to Hong Kong, a city I'd never set foot in before, where I worked for a real estate think tank, the Urban Land Institute, and eventually joined Juniper Square, then a five-person startup, to lead a function I had almost no experience in. I learned fast, and I've been learning fast ever since.

I've spent my career in private markets, first as a real estate developer and then increasingly on the relationship and community side, where I've found the most leverage. Today I'm drawn to conversations at the intersection of investment management, private markets, and AI: emerging managers, capital cycles, enterprise value, talent strategy, and how the business of investment and asset management is changing in real time.

My conviction is simple: private markets are at a structural inflection point, and the ability of private markets leaders to tell their story will become critically important. Differentiation, storytelling, and media are becoming a moat. The podcast, the writing, and the work I do at Juniper Square are all oriented around that idea.

Outside of work, you'll typically find me near the water. I'm passionate about paddling my surfski, on the ocean and wherever there are great downwind conditions. There's nothing I love more than traveling and spending time with my family.
